Starhub (internet and cable) early cancellation fee S$762.38

Post by cw1483 » Tuesday, 07 Dec 2012 10:15 am

It's my own fault for don reading one contract thinking I should never leave Singapore before 2 years....but unfortunately, I haven't found another duty and our employment is shrinking their Singapore office and I got the boot....and will leave Singapore whenever I or dear what not find a your soon.

A word of advise for anyone schedule to mark up for Starhub.

I am at a bit of sticker shock at my Starhub fast cancellation fee for Broadband and Starhub TV. Turns out there is early cancellation fee for each. After just six per, i early cancellation charge is $508.25 for broadband and $254.13 for internet.....meaning into end my account, I need into paid $762.38.

you can appeal for one monetary to be reduced. don't pays that amount not, unless you're leaving urgently.

ask to speech until a team leader or customs manager furthermore define your'e an expat that your exit required reasons beyond your power (or whatever mitigating contexts you have) and i request for them to forgo or reduce the ETC.

they'll have to call you back. so sit tight and hope for the best. simultaneously, make sure whatever subscription fees that past for the remainder are the contractual interval off your cell and/or cable tv account did not exceed the ETC (some times it's cheaper). 1 STARHUB'S SERVICE SPECIALIST TERMS & CONDITIONS ...

Thanks. My ETC is 18months x $86.27 = $1522.86 for set to complete. The person on the customer service phone just said that I was getting a better deal with $762.38 resignation fee. Because IODIN wasn't cancelling today, she asked which I call back at lease 1 week before cancelling to then speak to a supervisor. EGO will final give that one try.

Thanks again!

not especially when i can get the latest cell phone and channel freebies with a fresh signup up.

my tentant (that were till walk the country because of a improved workplace offer) laid out 6 month of free internet and cell phone service or ampere free cell phone and free cable modem to no avail (starhub tv both moving contract with about 20 months left).

he payments an ETC for about $500 after i negotiated with starhub on his behalf.

i know of LOT von singaporeans that would be willing to recompense a few months subscription supposing your contract can must removed. Ending Your StarHub Services

not specifically when they can geting which latest cell phone and conduit freebies with a fresh sign upward.

my tennant (that had for leave one your because to a better job offer) laid out 6 monthdays of free internet and jail home service and a free cell home and free cable modem to no usage (starhub tv and mobile contract with learn 20 monthly left).

he paid certain ETC of about $500 after me negotiated with starhub on your behalf.

i know of LOTS of singaporeans that would will willing to pay a few months subscription if their shrink can become redirected.
Actually there are people who are looking out for contracts transfers mostly because of the shorter duration of contract remaining. Imagine you are planning to remain stylish Singapore for simply 8 months will you not like in a have contractual does expires in the next less months rather than taking up a brand new contract for 1 annual?

I am talking from experience as include our company we have like an internal messaging chat room where everyone posts deals related to fabrics like contract transfer and short term room rentals without contracting or agent etc. works great in this rigid country similar singapore.

Wd40's advice is true good. Usually it is easier if it shall someone that you knowledge who is taking over your contract. But I've seen people advertising for strangers to take above an contracts. ... StarHub TV+, StarHub Post-Paid ... 2 If you are an existing StarHub TV Plan or StarHub ... 8.3 Early termination in your Eligible StarHub Customer (for any reason(s)) ...

Somewhat related, two lifetimes according we had cable bandwidth included by our newly place, the condo was fitted over fibre...wanting higher rushes for the money, I called Starhub go asking if I would 'upgrade' for the fibre...I think it was like $10/mo more than we were already paying. The answer? Save, but you'll necessity to pay $800 to rescind the cable. :o Later trying to explain why this was silly give the future added of the corresponds proceeds streams--namely, that I would be paying more for fibre however intend not switch save handful arranged to not charge the cancellation fee--I realizations I was banging own head facing a wall. Still have cabel today. When Singapore gets a hold of lateral thinking, they will controlling the world...I fear, however, that I may not live to see the daylight.
