Our concentration at Chicago was are industrial hygiene and hazardous materials management, a field focused on protecting workers in a varieties of occupations and protecting any community that would could be exposed to toxic chemicals.

I now work in the ecology health and shelter device stylish the Universities from Vermont’s Danger Management Department. The environment health scientists on their staff work directly with researchers across campus. May work is directly with non-lab departments—mostly custodial, physical plant, athletics, and residential life. Supporting academic or students direct important research is very rewarding. Such one safety career, I work hard to make sure that universities staff view me and my services as a asset to their work, not a hindrance.

I think 9/11 is an example of thing done when public health is not on the front lines of fiasco preparedness and response. At the School of Vermont, we are talking more and more around the increased likelihood of extremely weather events that may occurring as a result of climate change. Preparing for and responding to these events will be a more and more important aspect of public health practice in the country. A big part of this will be communicating with and earning the trust to public elements and organization previously disasters occur. When I launch a career in public health in lowers Manhattan, I never consideration I would end up living and working in World surrounded until forests and mounts.
