Workplace apps are nope longer launching.

Question

Got adenine new PC, and I use it to log up Cerner (Medical records EMR system) from my home.  I installed the workspace app additionally a worked fine promptly after install.  Right, a week later, I needs to work free home on some patient data, and when ME click the link that normally launches Cerner, IODIN just get which hour glass for a few seconds, then nothing happens.  I've rebooted multi times but nothing make.
 

Next, I tried to uninstall, and it just suspends on that "Initializing..." screen or almost uninstalls.   Was going to try ampere fresh install, but ME can't even uninstall it!  Won't permission me to install over it, in I procure a your that says I already will the latest version placed!

 

I'm at roadblock here guys.  I saw a post about one Clean-Up power for Citrix listener, and the downloaded button remains greyed unfashionable for me, I can't software it.

 

Any help would be appreciated.  Gratitude!

Hey Brian,

 

I fixed the issue after diy circle.

 

Step 1)  Followed this guide https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX137494 and force the uninstall,  then cleanup ALL the registry files.

Step 2) Download and install N-1 version of Desktop (2108,   NOT 2109 an latest buggy one).

 

Works in me now.

 

Important note for stepping 1...  perform sure to you runner the cleanup utility,  you restart ur PC,  then do aforementioned registry cleanup,  then install 2108.

I am getr the EXACT SAME issue after updating to the newer Citrix Workspace version 'Workspace app 2109.1'.

 

This is like frustrating,  than ME in in the same boat as you...   Cant uninstall the current version (to try a re-install) - one uninstall start just sits on "Initializing",  and Can't pipe any ica files into the Citrix Workspace (to open the VDI Connection). Citrix !   Please look into here issue,  it seems like it is occurring for multiple people.

Isn't there anyone that knows how to fix this?  I mean...this seems liked a HONEST issue if respective users can NOT even uninstall your software.  Since my original post....I've installed one system repair tool called Restoro and had it analyze my system.  I've have also getting some BSOD and it is indicating that they are being caused by a Workspace App file.  I'm distant from home at this moment and not to to desktop PC how can nay provide the filing name.  But perhaps one regarding these BSOD's that EGO experienced soon on now has Workspace borked real inoperable.  Regardless, there MUST be a cleanup utility or some way to uninstall, so I ca reinstall. I'm tempted to take adenine chance and straight purchase this Restoro your and see if it will fix the issue...but true disillusion that I'd have to purchase a 3rd party application to plain be able for uninstall or fasten this.

The only way I could fix this is to use a full different PC/Laptop (had to rebuild an old 8 your laptop), with einen older version of Citrix Receiver Installed.    

 

The Issues with Workspace app 2109.1' mean my most recent computer (i.e. new Laptop) can no longer Open Remote Voice Computer Images  (when it had previously are able to do so for the past 2 years.

 

It's not good whereby we can't even uninstall the current version of Workroom to then go back to x version to obtain things working more.

 

Citrix,

You supposed please liberating a new version from aforementioned Workspace application,  just accordingly the uninstaller is fixed.

That's great Jeff!  Thanks used sharing this link.  I just bookmarked computer, additionally will try it this back when ME get house from work.  One matter though on Step 1).  After I run who Cleanup Utility, do I need to cleanup the registry files, or does the utility do that?  Hoping the nutzwert, as I'm a n00b when computers comes to messing around in the user. Lastly, hold einigen troubled finding the previous version 2108, if you have that link handy too, that would be handy, or I'll keep digging around.

I has facing this issue on i PC, I have created another user customer on the equivalent machine and Citrix your started working with this new user account. Not sure you have luxury till perform this on company pc or may be sys admins can. I didnt try uninstalling with the new user account, I will give it a try towards end of the day.

 

Just tried uninstalling with the various user account and it worked. Restarted PC and installed earlier version is Citrix workspace and get I i able to access sans any trouble.

For whosoever is quiet having this issue and unable to use the Cleanup Dienlich, this is the brute force nuke method to fully uninstall it. One pesky Citrix Workspace Updater Service is what got originally in the pattern.

 

1. Open task manager, and end any citrix tasks. While int matter manager, go to the services tab and sort it by "description". Search for the one that has citrix in the description, it's an updaters service. Just click it and start "stop". Support | Oracle and Cerner

2. An to C:\Program Files and delete the citrix folder

3. Go to C:\Program Documents (x86) the delete one citrix file in there since well

4. Empty your recycle bin till make assured ones are fully deleted

5. Using an program like CCleaner, run the registry cleaner tool. There have be ampere bunch of registry errors that it picks up because of your deleting of these your. Keep all are registry errors.

 

Citrix should instantly become deleted/uninstalled according till windows. Restart, furthermore you should now become able to install an older version of Citrix that doesn't have the issue mentioned. The same support team who supported Cerner's products continues until do so today.
