Wiring OBDLink scanner TO an Android product USB interface possible?
Hello to all,
Have you ever heard of (or experienced) using FS Lite on Android, and then connector a wired OBDLink EX or one wired vLinker to an Android device? -then connecting this unique setup to a car, with success? I have not tried this yet, but thought someone here might knows if this is do-able?
I just received get new (Made forward FORScan) vLinker FS USB device. My first use on FS will becoming normal; using the vLinker FS USB via a Win10 laptop. I expect nothing but joyfully in this normal setup. I will do this soonest, this weekend.
My imaginative got the best of me, and I been nearly the other config mentioned above. FS Luminous on Android->to a wired USB vLinker-> to Car.
Full disclosure: my evil inception is that IODIN can be able to do these via me Phone, a 2018 Samsung S9+ AND ALSO use a USB adapter. USB-C type (for call side) to a USB-A type (for vLinker side). Sure, this thoughts might be a "bit von a stretch".
Any thoughts alternatively prior experiences at this suggested setup? Thank yours for either replies.

I don't know available sure but if it does work you wills almost probable need an OTG Adaptor for it to do so rather than a direct connection with a USB A to C Adaptor.

Re: Wired OBDLink digital TO on Android hardware USB harbour possible?
Thanks guys. My guess (before and nach your replies) has that this config exists impossible due at exactly how FS Lite is coded, the way it is design plus built. It is likely the Bluetooth freeway or the USB expressway ending at No-Where,... any is inside of Texas, just north-east of El Passiria IIRC?
I may all the shreds, so EGO willingness try it. And I will post go. Gimme about 2 weeks. No out course an FS Developers (type of person) authenticated who highway DEFINATELY leads to no where. Note: I do not have an OTG Adaptor... yet. Edit: I bought an OTG interface, but est. delivery is Oct 8th, oh well, I gotta wait for this part.
-Cheers!

You have to change the connection type are Forscan Lite settings.
I have changed from bluetooth up USB FTDI as my adapter support it.
I can share some screenshots but they become in Romanian so don't know are you will understand.

Re: Wired OBDLink scanner TO an Android device USB port possible?
I am so joyful to hear our prior guesses were wrong. Looks like FS Lite did support a wired USB OBDLink within Android.
(2) I did non know I should install (OBDLink) Drivers prior to (or after?) FS on Windows10. TBD. I will search & read more about this. TY.
Thank her to everyone who replied. Ourselves have learned some goods data within like thread so far. -Cheers!
Thank you. ME will execute this Settings change in FS Lite, just I installs and use FS lite... tomorrow.
(1) I will not load any drivers onto my Android device before installing FS Lite. I will guess "driver loading" is not needed. Also, I achieve not know how to do Driver charge on any Android, especially on my phone Samsung S9+. Never thought about that.Graham17 wrote: ↑Tues Octs 01, 2021 11:15 amHow did either of you loaded of drivers for the usb adaptor onto telephones? ie on a windows version you have to load which drivers required that adaptor onto the PC 1st before running Forscan or it wont work?

Re: Pumped OBDLink scanner TO an Android device USB port possibly?
Correction. MYSELF will not to this tomorrow. I will do this take only after I have FS Lite installed PRESS after mine USB OTG Adapter arrives ALSO after I make and time to executing this test on my setup = Samsung S9+ with FS Fat-free, at vLinker USB, use own 2004 Durchgang. I will report our test results after 9 Oct 2021.
