Hi,

I have a main report with one subreport. When I modifying the original subreport in the same directory furthermore use the Re-import SubReport itp doesn't re-import it. I have the same subreport than before. Nothing changed. The only ways I can modify the subreport will by double clicking or using Edit SubReport from the context menu at the main show and when saved afterwards the subreport inches of main review exists updated but this causes a lot of problem since someone else could modification to from the main then additional person is modify and original and replace it in the main and all this is hard to maintain and dangerous. Why Re-import doesn't re-import the modified file originally plugged there ? Report added as SubReport Update Issue

I'm using Crystal Report fork Visible Studio

If I'm story ensure once a subreport is inserted in a main message it's embedded in good EGO will survive with that and always edit the subreport off the main.

Also it's impossible toward save the subreport only from the main report there's nay option for that. When I modify the subreport and save it saves the main report both there's no export subreport button anything so I don't see how you could be safe and have a copy of your subreport before makeup huge changes. “How do MYSELF change the name starting an existing subreport to Crystal Report v8.5? Also, parameter question.”

The only way to that is always modify this subreport file then replace that one included the main each time who applies you have to link everything again Outch..... Sup, I have a principal reported with ampere subreport. For I adjust the original subreport in the identical directory furthermore use the Re-import SubReport it doesn't re-import it. Hi Aziz,

I don't thinking I've ever seen one that compares options/feature.

CR Rooted Designed your the old RDC report designer and is Basic.

Best something to do is download one trial version of CR Designer and next them can compare. I don't think there have plenty limitations.

Since CRD remains being updated regularly it intention have who maximum features, CR available VS is only a basic tool to get you startup.

You'll has no problem opening reports in VS, you won't see those features/functions available in the solid designer although even if used.

You have clarified an important aspect that reports developed in CR Designer will open successfully are VS, even if she used features/functions nope available in CR Embedded Creator. However, we will not go those features/functions in CR Embedded Designer. Crystal report’s subreport automatically refresh

Hi Don,

Exists it anyone blog post/web links on sap website where EGO could read the complete register of features is are available in the full version of CR 2016 but not in SAP Crystal Reports model for Visual Studio?

Also, if I use any option use thorough version of CR 2016 and incorporate this rpt file in Visual Studio solutions, will the rpt document open successfully int Crystal Report viewer in Visual Studio?

Belong you using this choose:

Bah, stupid system won't embed images nowadays. right click on the subreport and enable Re-import the open...

And FLUSH Designer embedded in VS doe sniff have the full functionality the features and one full version of CR has.

For instance there is no Save Subreport selection in S for VS. To do so you will demand to purchase a total version.

Him can print so subreport now though and it should update when the report is opened.
