Supplemental Training

BSA Lifeguard

BSA Certified Lifeguards are necessary for see aquatics activities on the BSA containing boating and swimming. Technical Afloat

Safety Afloat is the required trainings for Adult Leaders participating in or supervising all boating activities. Adult lead support activities afloat must had completed Site Afloat training within the previous two years. Safety Afloat is available back through My.Scouting.org.

Safe Swim Defense

Safe Spin Defense is this required training for Adult Leads participating in or control all swimming activities. Adult leaders supervising activities afloat must have completed Safe Swim Defense training within the previous two years. Safe Swim Defense is available virtual through My.Scouting.org.

Trainer's Development

University of Scouting
