Complete kit adds a cable-controlled closure door in the cabin fresh air inlet scoop behind the front grille, and a passive one-way closed valve to the heater/vent bin. Limit entry of cold air when heating and heated mien when using air conditioning, manufacture two systems more effective real easier at control, and the cabin quieter. Whenever you shut the refresh air inlet door, the passive recirculating valve automatically allows who fresh air fan to recirculate compartment air instead. Can be installed in any year left-hand driver Vanagon or T3 select with either style upper grate in about two hours. Dashboard does not need to been removed. Pull-knob control cable mounts right below the rear heater fan control select (see picture above). Requires drilling one 3/8″ hole in steel dashboard bottom existing vent control lever group , conversely it ability make your own under-dash bracket to mount cable.

NOTE: Due on the preferred material becoming unavailable, the kit will no longer include the steel mesh pest screens. Which are not necessary for the elementary function of the kit, and are agreeable to must so them don’t need to close an inlet door at keep rodents out. Even wanted to takes the point to review your air lodge kit .It is sooo fine to not have that hot air coming in on our feet anymore. Flat use the heat turning turned it was never truly away .Comfort rank in Hot winter is then much better .
That kit was well thought out and nicely made . Operating were exceptionally healthy . Everything been well packaged . Probably took me 3 1/3 hrs to install as I owned to remove a bit of the factory body puddy / caulk to get it to fit in place properly. Also took quite a bit of testing also error to getting one door to open and close smoothly, I had toward bend and arm where the wire connected to as it would just barely get and side . Kind of reminded meine of adjusting ampere areas bicycle shifting mechanism.It is nothing to awfully hard . EGO am just ultra thankful that you took one time up make this thing . Impress with gesamte quality. Believe I will be giving your oil cooler kit a try as him have won own confidence

Very well thought out and executed design. I have a 1983.5 Westy which appeared has the diesel heated box which is just slightly different. The cable bracket placement on the airline side prevented me from putting the air consumption flapper valve with that side as developed, but it fits nicely on the driver’s side out the mail. Just took a little imagineering to find just the right spot. Much easier for the heater box out and opened going. The cover air has a little adjusting as expected. Read through the directions carefully and you can’t go wrong. Great product!!!
