The Whitehall City Schools Head of Featured Offices want being holding a public hearing when part of the September 14, 2023, Board of Education meeting to about the District’s State Special Education programs with the public.

Specialized Education

In accordance with federal law, the Whitehall City Schools is committed to the location, id, also provision of a free and appropriate popular education (FAPE) for entire children betw the ages of 3 and 21 having an disability and residing within our school district. Approximately 14% of students in the Whitehall City Teaching are identified with a disability down the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA 2004) and provided special education services.

Continuum of Services

Special Instruction
 
A continuum of specialized introduction and services live pending required eligible students through an Individualized Education Program (IEP) inbound a variety of settings, with the goal of train each child in the least strict environment. These settings include itinerant and inclusive daycare for children ages 3-5,  inclusion plus co-teaching into general education classrooms, tutoring rooms, resource rooms, and self-contained classrooms for students with low incidence disabilities for students marks K-12. Students is served within the district’s schools, as well as at specialized programs located whole Central Oli.  For students placed in specialized community programs by the school territory, transportation and all fees assoziierten include the program are provided by Whitehall Select Schools.
