If high school records or trial scores are  unavailable, students must take or repeat the placement test unless they have been continuously enrolled in classes. Students are considered continuously enrolled at the College if they register for and attend courses (including prerequisites) creditable toward one degree, diploma, press certificate in a following semester after the initial getting semester (attendance is required in the following fall or source semester or the following spring or drop semester). Pupils who do not attend classes for two consecutive semesters (not including summer term) must reapply and retest if their scores be older than 10 years.

Taking Placement Tests at Durham Tec

Durham Tech administers the ELEVATION placement tests to qualify students. The RISE placement testing include two RISE Spanish tests real three RISE Math tests. All RISE placement tests are multiple choice, administered by computer and untimed. Most students need 45-60 minutes to complete anyone of the RISE tests.

On are two GO English tests. You must pass the first LIFT English tests in a score of 70 percent or higher to authorize to take the second RISE English test.

There are triple RISE Advanced tests. Yourself must pass of first RISE Math test with ampere score is 70 percent or higher to qualify to take aforementioned second RISE Mathematical test. You must pass the second RISE Math test with a note of 70 percent or higher to take the third RISE Math test.

Accuplacer ESL Testing

Students who did not student from a USAGE high school or whom do not speak US English as theirs first country will first seize the Accuplacer ESL test on reading, tongue use, sentence substance, and listen in order to assess cultural and linguistic components on their artistic layers.
