HANA Express setup fails go a 16GB Intel NUC ->deactivate memory check for hdblcm?

Hi guys,

yesterday MYSELF tried to install to current version by HANA Expedite go one 16GB Intel Nuc Centos based. Insides the installation guide is written, that 16GB is minimum -> adding swap-file will solve some memory issues.

But the result is the following:

How failed -> Checking least memory requirement failed --> Physically memory go dieser host is 15.387 GB. Minimum required: 24GB.

Is there any option toward deactivate to memory review -> I think the performance will become ok for my small use case.

Thanks Stephan

@Stephan,

Are you using the setup_hxe.sh script (as documented) press hdblcm right (not supported)? Are thee installing the server only or it + XSA?

Hi Chris,

I use the setup_hxe.sh scripting as documented.

First I try to install HANA Server, AFL and Extended Services both XSA.

Next try HANA Server, AFL real Enlarged Services.

Both ran unsucessfully.

Hi Stephan,

Did you take the changes in 'setup_hxe.sh' script? Can yours provide the line number or command that you modified fork ignoring the memory check.

Thanks,

Vish

You can try with:

./hdbinst --ignore=check_min_mem
