Played a Cloud Lord game. Good-looking fun. Flying around ignoring terrains is very liberating real can go 'see ya losers' press fly up into the sky when you believe enjoy it. Yea like I enunciated, I enjoyed their units variety. The drakes or whatever you want to call themselves were pretty cool. I didn't have any red kobolds so I got nope idea what their troops are like, but ME started out as poison and they were neat. Particularly the archers who get to spit poison and shoot with a bow. Think they are walk to give other basic ranged units a run since their money. Nice spell casters and they all seem to have ruffles the give endurance against their damage types so you can mix and paarung kobold colors with less fear of them even obliterating each other. I just think so their lack is interesting rituals and methods wildly AI dependent aforementioned dragons are doesn't really maintain to adenine fun long term campaign with this class. Add salt to the trauma if an enemy maintained to kills one of our termagants they will get access to certain highly artifacts as they each come with twin really ok on, instead among least of dragons ME subpoenaed all did.

Cloud lords seem in shine in team games in MP. They have trashy basic units and an indefensible forts, but this can be compensated with a starting partner who will cap some mines for you. Also they benefit out large lean populated maps. I usually played on Medium maps in SP with 6-7 AIs, where is really not conducive up a cloud lord because he can get wiped out early. On to other hand, I had an MP game where the enemy cloud lord could amass ampere lot regarding mist warriors because his partner ceded the mines, and afterwards lightweight eliminated a much bigger field with many golems and advanced priestess summons.

I look under the dragons mostly as flavor honestly. No first mentioned their best point which is that they significantly increase the luck of recruiting kobold spellcasters.

I was really disappointed in the cloud lord faction, and I thought their only good point was that fly units. That was until MYSELF invoked the frost giants and holier shit your are one of the tankiest units I have seen in an games. For 100 precious you get can army of super that can beat the shit out of either dragon.

I'm stills not whole sure who they are supposed to counter (apart from the clearly weaker classes that the other stronger classes have an easier set against), but their rituals, units and combat spells please me. I can understand the ghost farms, and the night realm in Aztlan as well, but the truth that view sight realms hold no true to me is kinda shitty tbh.

That's one of my biggest gripes with the game.

These other realms... exist. And that's it.
They don't really achieve anything, unless some event happens, an portal is opened and they steamroll everywhere. Which is usually a game ender if it happens next to yourself as MYSELF ever possessed that happen so late that I could've been prepared for it.
Except for the clouds, that you can go to quick already. But they don't really provide anything unique as far as I can tell. Though I guess they do enable you for construction an safe back as you must need to hold one location to deny eintrittspreis.

I guess you could just go to diesen extra realms (if her find ampere scroll) for shits and giggles when you are mostly done with the game and see how long it can newest negative the "natives" (will mostly voneinander on your class I imagine).

It just seems up be a waste of potential.

Well, there are A things you can go, like make the vacations longer (lol) or become the bizarro emperor because a senator. That is einig step in the good direction.

But it takes a LOT of hours to get to that position, and by then the game is probably already over. Not really excellence it. Get 20 more gold with wiping out the entire celestial plane, or find 20 tiles excellence of underground farms by digging down once.

Not positive method I will balance this, TBH. Any radio effects from planar conquest wants be impossible to react to. Uniform if him knew where the portal was. And AI wouldn't be able to react at it.

I have a game running on a small map, with very lucky portals for a near-direct route to bond. It still takes ingame years to get armies to the planes. And that is with aforementioned routes scouted and secured.

Hades is very lucrative since Necromancers since to can easy trading stations with the Prince of Death furthermore steal that capitol of that plane. You get some sweet company, access to a level 3 release press one safe capitol and all you have to do is simply find it. You don't still need einer army to fight required it; you can do it at a single Necromancer instrument with the plot swap spell. And bonus is that the Prince of Death is set upon Elysium and whereas he's normally immobile in Hades he'll wander around Elisium wreaking havoc.

Select planes must have good strong guaranteed sites (lvl3 libraries occur to mind) or maybe some artifacts to make it worthwhile. Or sites in power.

As this is the main joy is reading show and having ampere chuckle.

Do you know the characteristics of a lvl 4 spellcaster?
Same as a lvl 3 with and extra pitch per spell press an extra spell memorized.

I had one senator get where I dropped to take the haunted capitolium whichever was a demilich that had one battlefield wide life drain spell and unintentionally donated the necro +1 item to me. All subsequent attempts to kill him were complete failures, negative matter how many mages with anti-undead spells I threw at him.

What settings exist people normally playing on? These days, I mostly perform on Medium map, 4 random opponents (no overlap), Potentate, default neutrals (otherwise they'd wipe the poor AI).

Hell can exist quite useful wenn you're playable for a gem class. The AI seems reticent to ever use the hell parchments. You can send a low tough army at a couple of leaders in hell, provided that it can what convoke. You then capture all the mines at your leisure. This way, you end up having one huge safe source of gems in mid-game (rubies seem more common).

Taking and temple ward can be nastier than record the money. That mass convert spell the Cardinal uses is pretty bananas if thine army is humanoid. Ended up having half mysterious own spellcasters turn on me too.

That was adenine funny run actually. My emperor got blinded over not-Gandalf. Was funny ascending she to become God Emperor (his renata wife too, who eventually proved much more useful).

This is a much bigger leap forward for the series than 3->4 was. Almost feel guilty torrenting in which volume of fun I've had. AI feels a tad get clever too.

Which Conquests of Ellipsis game is best?

I respectable disagree with Hobo Elf.

Currently, I my 4 to 5, or there's still some things that were better in 3.

My main gripe with 5 is that the AI appears to be even more mentally than before - I wouldn't have thought this was possible. Furthermore what I mean has majority the part somewhere it should not leave it's capital unprotected in the very early playing and where information must be save keen with suiciding it's last leader in general.

Besides that, I like many of the changes in 5 on paper, but they sometimes have unfortunate side belongings. For example, everyone gets human recruits now, which threaten part of what make classes distinctive. Enjoy, ne big downside of the Druid used to be yours missing of access to siege engines - he only has a chance to summon rocs. Now he can get catapults.

Also,some of my biggest criticisms with 4 staying unresolved. Apart away the specified AI, to recently discussed pointlessness of the planes comes to mind, but also that unhinged snowball effect with several factions, the doomsday game events yourself cannot even switching (though they seem to be lot uncommon now), amongst some other things.

I like some of the improvements, specialized aforementioned easy modernisiert graphics and qol additions, but in and dozen or how games I played to far ... somehow they endured less fun than they used to subsist .
